They came from the desert to the beach to start their forever together as a family from this day forward.
As Audrey stepped out of the car, arriving with her Groom, I'll never forget what she said. "That's my package! I'm so excited to see it finally." It was her excitement expressed after all her planning from afar. On the computer, on the phone, over coffee and now seeing a decor package to match her personality and style. That is exactly what we at Beachside Memories hope to deliver to all our couples.
Audrey took such care to include her soon to be step-daughter in all aspects of her wedding. They did D.I.Y. projects together, the night before the wedding they had manicures and pedicures, and they wore matching sandals. Audrey shared her own special vows to her mini Bride's Maid. Her emotions had us all in tears. It was truly a special moment for all of us to witness. After the ceremony a special song from the movie Moana play for you know who.
And now they're a family. I just love the smiles on their faces!
For their reception they chose dinner for their guests at The Greek Steak and Seafood in the Ventura Marina. There they had a celebration to remember, with food and drinks, entertainment and fun.

They finally got the wedding of their dreams after 50 years of marriage! On April 7, 1967 Gwen and David Anderson were married on the front steps of the Ventura County City Hall in Ventura, California. It was a beautiful setting it just didn't have the personal memory that they longed for. No guests, no wedding dress, no flowers, no cake, and no pictures, just an exchange of precious words to promise a lifetime commitment.
You see David went off to war six days later and they were apart many years after that. He came home with war injuries but with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren they've lived a full life together.
What David thought was just a photography session in the park turned out to be a surprise from his Bride. Their vow renewal. Their Pastor performed a beautiful ceremony with his favorite hymns, communion, and a symbol of unity. It made us all tear up a bit.
And then we celebrated with cake!
Just because you never know about April showers we decided to have a little fun, but the sun shined bright on this beautiful couple. They showed so much love for one another. It was so sweet to watch!
At Beachside Memories we want to make your wedding dreams come true. Everyone deserves a special memory of their love affair. The day before this picture was taken Ventura County had some of the biggest surf in years. The Groom planned the wedding for his Bride as a gift to her before her sister moved out of state. He had only a small window to make it happen for her. With our help he was able to to make her dreams come true!
We met at this beautiful location for his approval the week before. I asked him about colors and the number of guest and that was that. Beachside Memories took care of the rest of the ceremony planning for this December 12th. wedding. The Officiating was done by Pastor Nick Gonzalez of Treasured Ceremonies.
He did a beautiful bilingual service where the guests were laughing, crying, and cheering.

Meet Port Hueneme, California. It's a quiet little beach community located right next door to Malibu. Only 53 miles from the LAX Airport on one of the most beautiful coastal drives off Highway 1. As I was exploring this cute area of Ventura County I discovered that this Holiday Inn Express was only a block off the beach. There I met Patti Beck, the Sales Manager, who walked me through the property. She showed me the simple conference room that is available for wedding receptions. The space is big enough for 70 people, but I would suggest 50 or 60 for comfort. This is the exciting part...it's only $250 to rent ! and you can bring in your own food vendors at no extra cost! The rooms are newly renovated. They have a small, clean, and roomy pool area. This is the best part, not only do they include breakfast with your room but they have a wine and beer reception everyday from 5-7 also! The cocktail hour is served in a nicely decorated room looking onto the pool area.
As a wedding planner who likes to think outside the box and doesn't like to break the bank, this little beach town offers a perfect budget friendly destination beach wedding for you and your guest. Let Beachside Memories design and setup your beach ceremony and let Patti and her sweet

As Ron and I were starting this adventure we took a walk along the beach one day. We watched as what turned out to be a florist standing in the sand holding several boxes. He had been waiting for the rental company to arrive. They brought the arch and the chairs after about 20 minutes. We continued to watch as they moved everything into place and the florist arranged the flowers to the arch. Then we watched as a man and woman arrived, they then had the men move the direction of the arch and chairs to accommodate the view. I decided to approach the couple, I asked if they were the wedding planners? They told me that he was the brother of the bride and she was their friend. That is exactly what we want to avoid! Taking your family and friends away from the days events to do the heavy work. We want to take the worry and concern away, that every detail will be to the couples wishes. We are a one-stop-shop, from set up to clean up, from flowers to refreshments, from elopements to vow renewals.... Here's to your next chapter!
